Can Dog Poop Be Composed?

Dog poop is very rich in nitrogen so in theory it is supposed to be good in my garden right?

Dog poop can be added to your plants as fertilizer, but it needs to go through a process first. Parasites, like hookworms, roundworms, giardia, and parvovirus can live in dog poop for months. If you use dog poop as fertilizer for vegetables, there is a chance that parasites from the dog poop can lay eggs on your crops. If ingested, they will make you seriously ill.

So instead, compost your dog waste. Just make sure the temperatures in your composting system reaches 130-150 degrees Fahrenheit, also be sure to compost the waste for at least 6 months.
